Senior Pastor:
Richard Harrell
Dr. Richard has received the following degrees: Doctrine of Theology, Doctrine of Ministry, Masters of Theology, Masters of Arts and Biblical Studies, Associate of Divinity and Bachelors of Arts and Religion.
Dr. Richard has been senior pastor in several churches with the two most recent being Furnance Creek Baptist (Feb 1989-Dec 1992) and Seaford Baptist (Dec 1992-Jan 2008).
He is married to Teresa (Terri), and they are the parents of two adult children, a daughter who lives in Yorktown, Virginia, and a son, who lives in Rocky Mount, Virginia.

Youth and Children Minister:
David Saleeba
David's salvation came in October 2005. During the past few years, he has served in a variety of musical, youth-related, and other ministries at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Eden. He felt the call to the ministry in November of 2007. David has degrees in music education, and music performance. He is currently taking seminary classes at Liberty University working towards a master of Arts in Theological Studies.

Minister of Education:
C.W. Thomas
C.W. has a Masters degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Religious Education, a BS from Liberty University in Church Ministries, and an AAS degree in Police Science from VWCC.
He is a native of Franklin county and is married to Gail Thomas. They have been married for over 30 years. He enjoys anything western.
C.W. was ordained by Dr. Richard during the late 80s or early 90s.

Office Administrator:
Debbie Simpsons
Deborah Simpson joined the church staff as Office Administrator on November 13. She will oversee the day-to-day affairs of the church office and will perform administrative tasks design to support the smooth functioning of the Church.
Deborah comes to us with over eight years of experience in office administration. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree with a major in business technology and a specialization in Administrative Support Technology.
Deborah and husband Buddy currently reside in Bassett, Virginia and are members of Cross Point Church. They have two daughters Jade & Kara. Jade is married living with her husband in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where her husband Clay is serving in the Air Force. Kara still resides at home and is currently attending Patrick Henry Community College.

Music Director:
Bob Mullin
Bob Mullin has been the Music Director at Boones Mill for nearly ten years. He earned a Bachelor in Music Education from the University of Florida and a Masters in Business Administration at Rollins College in Florida. He is a Computer Programmer for Norfolk Southern Railroad. He and his wife, Sherry, have two sons who are students at Liberty University.

Pianist:
Derek Shorter
DEREK SHORTER (Musical Director/Pianist) recently was a featured performer on “ABC” for the live Telecast of, “Miss Virginia”, and will be returning this coming up year as the vocal director, for the Miss Virginia organization, and at which he will be composing the “Envelope Delivery” song. He has competed in festival competitions with the National Federation of Music Clubs, at Hollins University, and the Lions Club Bland Music Scholarship competition where he has won and received superior ratings. He performed professionally as an actor for Mill Mountain Theatre in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”, he has also done camps and clinics there, including scene work from, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Sweeney Todd”, “Jekyll and Hyde”, “Into the Woods”, and “Assassins.” He also performed in “The Wizard of Oz”. Non-musicals include the lead role in “Medieval Tales and “A Night of Wax”, he directed and performed the music for “The Pajama Game”, and “Beauty and the Beast”, at Franklin County High School. He was a part of the Odyssey of the Mind team for three years. He is a proud member of the Franklin County High School Band and has performed in the Indoor drum-line, marching band, symphonic band, and Jazz band where he is the Drum Major (conductor) of the marching band, and is a pianist, and percussionist, he has done numerous benefit, along with private concerts, he has also performed with the Virginia Tech Honor band, and All- District Band, he also is the pianist for a professional swing band locally, as well as played at venues such as “The Hotel Roanoke”. He is also a full-time church pianist. He plans to continue his career in music, and hopes to attend Berklee School of Music, The Julliard School, The Eastman School of Music, or The Manhattan School of Music.

Youth & Children Intern:
Megan Gordon
Megan is
currently working as the director of a local childcare center. She has an
Associate degree in Early Childhood Development and hopes to further her
education after completing the two year internship at Boones Mill Baptist
Church. She has previously and is currently working with both teens and
children in AWANA programs, Bible School, Sunday School, children's worship and
summer camps.
